First Working Day

The next week, I arrived with my Hi-Vis shirt and working jeans and boots. Anthony took me through the Safety Procedures and explained that I would be initially be doing the manual labour jobs, such as cutting back the rust and repainting areas, as most other volunteers were skilled in engineering, mechanics or carpentry as many had been merchant navy seamen in the past. I have happy to help  out in any way. True to form, I got very used to the "needle gun". This piece of machinery, peppers that rust off with dozens of metal needles that vibrate in and out.
