Lunchtime gatherings

The working starts at 8.30 - 9.00am, as volunteers arrive. They have traveled from many parts of Melbourne and even regional areas. The jobs allocation spreads them all over the Wattle, so it is a welcome break when the Ship's Bell sounds and we all gather for lunch. This has been prepared by an individual member, nominated by a rotating Roster. The companionship is the most positive aspect, as members share stories of days gone by, aboard the Wattle and other ships once worked.
